Yesterday I played a wild chaotic game. My opponent played the Zhuravlev Countergambit, and we had opposite sides castling. This resulted in many missed opportunies and low accuracy for both of us. However, these madcapped games are also incredibly fun!
The learning I took out of this game is that it’s important to carefully look for checks and mates. My instincts were correct that I had a winning position with my queen, rook, and passed pawn, but I let those opportunities slip away, even missing a mate in 1.
I hope you enjoyed this video, and thanks for watching!
