This is the second episode in a five part series playing, and hopefully defeating the all new cat meme chess bots, unleashed by chess.com in 2023!

Angry Cat is rated at 1000 ELO, but didn’t really want to play chess at the beginning! He’s a very hissy and growly cat!

I played the Vienna Gambit (1. e4 e5 2. Nc3 Nf6 3. f4) and Angry Cat unfortunately declined the gambit with (3… Nc6), which is a mistake.

I use a classic Vienna Gambit game strategy with a bishop sacrifice by capturing the f7 pawn! With the f-file smashed open, Angry Cat unfortunately didn’t have a chance. Poor kitty!

After the win, Angry Cat was very very cross. Like Scaredy Cat, he spoke to a mysterious “Mittens”?
