Today, I received two parcels! One contained the Chessnut Sensor Chips. And the other, customised handmade chessmen from the Etsy Store, INDIACHESSART, based out of the city of Amritsar, India. Amritsar is where the best handman wooden chessmen are made with many talented craftsmen and a long history of chessmen manufacturing.

The gentleman who runs INDIACHESSART, Mr Sarbjit Singh provides a fantastic service where he will customise your chosen chess pieces by drilling the holes that fit the Chessnut sensor chips, and even includes appropriately sized felt pieces. This massively simplifies the process in making custom pieces for the Chessnut PRO. He’s a proven business, having made and delivered over 30 sets of chessmen for the custom Chessnut PRO/Air pieces at the time I made the order.

The pieces I ordered were the Austrian Coffee House series, a striking historical design from the early twentieth century common in the cafes of Vienna. Those who follow my channel will know that my favourite chess opening is the Vienna Gambit, so these pieces seem especially fitting! Today is a quick unboxing video.
